Trip consumption

Would it be possible to calculate the trip consumption based on actual energy used on the trip, instead of calculating it via SoC variation between the start and end of the trip, based on the assumed battery capacity (furthermore, actual battery capacity will reduce over time, what will trick the current calculation method)?

My car is a MINI Cooper SE, MY 2022
