Negative consumption is possible for short drives when altitude difference is negative ...
AnsweredIn the alps, we often drive shorter distances from e.g. 1000m altitude to 800m or 900m. For such trips it is common to have zero or negative average consumption. However, Tronity always shows a warning and an anomaly.
This pattern is very easy to understand and find, so it would be super great if Tronity can stop throwing warnings for these cases.
Thank you.

I changed the behaviour end of January to not show the warning when the elevation of the start is higher than the end. If the issue still persists please create a ticket so I can check individually what the issue can be

Meinhard, is this possibly related to the Regenerative Braking creating a charge that affects the consumption?
If so, I personally would definitely like to see something within the app to accurately capture the data and have it reflected in records to see what affect it is having overall on consumption and so on.

Sure it's therefore!
And I tested now 3 different BEV's and all have the same issue in Tronity. Tronity has to fix this "bug". In alpine areas it's quite common to drive downwards, and to have the battery after the trip "fuller" than before. I assume the developer live in the "Ebene" :D0 -
I can see the frustration this would cause, however this is a very edge case scenario. For the vast majority of the user base this would never happen and thus the error detection in place would work as expected. I think the solution here is personal control over the error detection system, rather than a blanket wide modification.

Michael, I assume that's your personal opinion? Or do you have data showing the percentage of users who never drive from a higher to a lower elevation? Btw, the GPS sensor data usually shows the altitude, too, so it would be feasible to check if the negative consumption is erronuous or not.

Thank you Felix.
I only now read your official response. Will test it. I assume it is now working as expected, thank you! :)
