Introduction
At TRONITY, we provide advanced battery analysis insight for your electric vehicle (EV). This article explains two key metrics; degradation and battery health score, helping you understand your EV's battery condition over time.
Disclaimer: The battery health score is designed as a general indicator of your EV's battery condition. While more comprehensive than simple degradation metrics, it should not be considered a definitive measure. Occassional data inconsistencies may cause slight variations in the score.
Degradation (BETA)
Degradation shows how much batter capacity your EV has lost over time. We've developed a sophisticated process to clean and refine manufacturer data, ensuring high-quality degradation information.
The degradation metric is presented as a percentage of lost original battery capacity. You can access this information in both our mobile and web applications.
Battery Health Score (BETA)
The battery health score is a more comprehensive measure that compares your EV's battery condition to an optimal benchmark based on similar vehicles. THis score is less affected by seasonal factors like temperature fluctuations.
While more comprehensive, the battery health score should not be considered definitive. It's designed as a general indicator of your EV's battery condition.
The battery health score is only available for EV's tracked on TRONITY for at least 3 months and can be accessed in our mobile application.
Tips and advice:
- Both metrics are in BETA. We're constantly working to improve these feautBeide Kennzahlen befinden sich derzeit in der BETA-Phase. Wir arbeiten ständig daran, diese Funktionen zu verbessern.
- The battery health score currently supports selected Volkswagen, Skoda, and Tesla models, with more to come
- Use both metrics for a comprehensive understanding of your EV's battery condition. This information can help you make informed decisions about vehicle usage and maintenance.
- Charges and trips that have been marked as inconsistencies or identified as such are not taken into account. These can be corrected in the app.
