It may happen that if there is no Internet connection in the ID.3:
- Current data/drives are no longer displayed in the TRONITY or Volkswagen app
- The following error message is displayed in the VW app during a synchronization attempt:"Vehicle data not available. There may be a server problem. Please try again later."
- An error message appears when trying to access the apps installed in the vehicle or to open the store.
In the following instructions, we explain step by step how to solve the problem.
Solution steps:
1. Park the vehicle in a place with good internet reception.
2. Switch on the ignition.
3. Check whether the green SOS LED is illuminated.
4. Proceed as follows in the infotainment system:
- Select "User" and check under "Me" when the last time was synchronized (this information is at the bottom of the screen).
- In the user menu, select "Setup" (gear symbol) > "Privacy settings".
- There, deactivate "Vehicle/usage data", "Send location data" and "Car2X technology" (switch to the left).
- Restart the infotainment system using the power button (below the screen, far left) by pressing and holding this button until the screen goes dark, and the VW logo appears after a while. Now remove your finger from the button and wait until the infotainment system has fully booted up again.
- Now select "User" > "Setup" (cogwheel symbol) > "Privacy settings" again.
- Activate "Vehicle/usage data", "Send location data" and "Car2X technology" again (switch to the right).
- Wait approximatily 1 minute.
- Select "User" and check under "Me" whether synchronization has taken place.
5. If necessary, update the vehicle data in the Volkswagen app via the following path: "Vehicle icon" > "Settings" > "Vehicle data" > "Synchronize now".
6. Check in the TRONITY app whether the data is available again.
