Audi Q4 connectivity to Tronity in Australia
BeantwortetI'm based in Australia and recently purchased an Audi Q4-etron and like many recent purchasers in Australia we've been surprised to discover that the Q4's don't have Audi Connect enabled. Audi Australia aren't being very transparent about why this is the case nor does it look like they are planning to do anything to help owners deal with the issue. A lot of unhappy ppl as there's no current way of doing things such as remotely monitoring/managing the SoC of the battery while charging, etc.....
I've started looking at aftermarket solutions, such as Tronity, and despite Audi Connect not being supported for Q4's in Australia, I'm trying to work out if I need a device such as OVMS connected to Tronity, or if there is a way for me to try and get the esim working on the cars telematics unit to at least stream data to Audi, so that Tronity can access it.
Look forward to hearing back.

Hi Ray,
Since we don't support Audi in Australia the only possibility to use Tronity would be via OVMS.
Kind regards

Thx Felix - are there any limitations using the OVMS device, with respect to the data being received and what can be done with it via the Tronity app, that I should be aware of?

Hi Ray,
Not any that I'm aware of but there is also only a small userbase using OVMS so there could be some things. If you encounter an issue I'm happy to help to resolve it
Kind regards
