GPS information stored via phone app

A nice feature could be to add the possibility to start the trip via the App where it can store the GPS (and altitude) information in order to have a better visualization of the trip done.

This could be done automatically when Tronity detect a start of a trip or could be done manually when the user wants to record the trip with GPS detailed.

For example I will use during the holiday, but not during the normal daily work.

Did you plan to do this?

  When you start to drive Tronity should already derive the GPS position from your car as trip starting point.
  I might not understand the difference/improvement you suggest with your request? Can you explain?

  Recording the GPS information with the phone during the trip, the full track can be shown in map and you can record also the altitude and speed information of the car. These information are very important to see the relationship between battery consumption and altitude/speed.
  I think this is a very interesting feature to add. What you think?

  I guess he wants detailed maps of the trip, not like this...

  My car does not support geolocation. It would be great if tronity could use the iPhone location in this case.

  I am aware that this is not working if different users having different iPhones use the car, so it would have to be an optional feature.
